About Euro Exchange
The Euro (EUR) is the single currency shared across the eurozone and one of the most widely held foreign currencies among UK travellers. We accept all denominations of Euro banknotes and coins, including older series and damaged notes.
Current Euro Banknotes
Euro banknotes are issued in two series: the original 2002 series and the updated Europa series, which introduced enhanced security features such as an emerald number, a portrait window, and a satellite hologram. We accept all current Euro banknotes across both series, including higher-value notes such as the €100 and the €200, as well as every smaller denomination in between.
Old Series & Damaged Notes
Unlike many high street exchanges, we accept worn, torn, and damaged Euro banknotes from both the original and Europa series. Provided a note is at least 50% intact, we can exchange it — though the rate may be slightly lower than for notes in good condition. If you have leftover currency from older European holidays, it is well worth sending them in rather than leaving them in a drawer.
Euro Coins
We accept all eight Euro coin denominations, from the 1 cent coin right up to the €2 coin, including mid-range pieces such as the 50 cent coin. Most banks and bureaux de change refuse coins altogether, so this is one of the most straightforward ways to convert leftover Euro change into pounds. The rate for coins is slightly lower than for banknotes due to handling costs.
