About Euro Exchange
The Euro (EUR) is the official currency of 20 European Union member states and one of the most widely held currencies in the world. We accept all denominations of Euro banknotes and coins, including older series and damaged notes.
Current Euro Banknotes
Euro banknotes are currently issued in two series: the original 2002 series and the updated Europa series, introduced progressively from 2013 onwards. Both remain legal tender and we exchange all denominations from each. The higher-value notes, including the €200 and €100, feature enhanced security elements such as an emerald number and portrait watermark, making them among the most secure banknotes in circulation.
Old Series & Damaged Notes
Unlike most high street exchanges, we accept worn, torn, and otherwise damaged Euro banknotes, provided the note remains at least 50% intact. The original 2002 series notes — including the €50 issued 2002 — are still valid and exchangeable, though we may apply a slightly reduced rate for notes in poor condition. If you have old pre-Euro currencies such as French Francs, Deutsche Marks, or Italian Lire, we can exchange those too.
Euro Coins
We accept the full range of Euro coins, from the 1 cent piece right up to the €2 coin and the 50 cent coin. Most banks and bureaux de change refuse coins altogether, so we offer one of the simplest ways to turn those leftover euros into pounds. The exchange rate for coins is slightly lower than for banknotes, reflecting the additional handling involved.
